weight loss challenges and triumphs

Well I got diagnosed with Diabetes in late August! Can you say WAKE UP CALL I am only 38 years old!!! Well right away I started to cut down on all my carb intake and ate more healthy veggies and foods. I stopped drinking soda of all kinds. I occaisionally have a Coke Zero but that is only for special occasions. When I went to see my nutritionist about 2 weeks after I was diagnosed, I had already lost 7 lbs! That was awesome! My nutritionist is linked to my DR's office so she saw what my weight was 2 weeks earlier. Now about a month and a half later I am down 16lbs and am almost in the 100's.

I'm trying to get back into blogging

I know it has been a very long time since I have written on my blog but I need to get back into it. Since I last wrote on 2009 my life has changed a lot! Sonia is now 6.5 years old and I am getting ready for Nicholas's 3rd birthday!!! I have personally been newly diagnosed with type 2 diabetes but am fine with it now and am doing well. Since being diagnosed in late august I have lost 16lbs and counting. Sonia has started first grade and she loves it. Nicholas is now in Preschool and having so much fun!!!!

Surgery

Hi all,
Sorry haven't written in a while. Been kind of out of it I guess.
Nicholas is having surgery tomorrow at Children's Hospital Boston! He needs to have his Penis separated from his scrotum, fix the hernia and then do the circumcision. I am sure all will go well but I am still a little nervouse because he will be put under general anesthea (sp)!
Will write tomorrow when all is done!!!

first foods

Today was a big day for Nicholas. He got to start eating solid foods. This morning he had Oatmeal cereal and then a bottle; for lunch he had some sweet potatoes which he absolutely loved my mother said and then a bottle and for dinner he had the rest of the sweet potatoes and he will soon have another bottle and then to bed!!!! Big day for my little guy. I can't believe he is 4 months old now. It is amazing how time flies!!!!

My new topper
